LOCAL TUCSON LEADER ELECTED
TO NATIONAL LEADERSHIP BOARD:

Community Leadership Association Selects Local Tucsonan, Patty Richardson, for National Board

TUCSON, Ariz. (June 22, 2005) – Greater Tucson Leadership (GTL), a Tucson non-profit organization devoted to inspiring, developing and promoting leadership in the Tucson community, is pleased to announce that former GTL President, Patty Richardson, has been elected to serve on the national Community Leadership Association Board of Directors.

This is the first time that a Greater Tucson Leadership member has been elected to the national board.

A long-time Tucsonan and government affairs official for the Tucson Association of Realtors, Richardson is no stranger to community involvement. She has served on a variety of local and state committees and task forces and was President of Greater Tucson Leadership in 2002-03.

“Patty’s election to the national board is great for Tucson,” said Andrew Greenhill, President of Greater Tucson Leadership. “It demonstrates the quality of local leadership we have in Tucson to a national audience. And it testifies to how well Patty has served GTL and the entire Greater Tucson community.”

The Community Leadership Association (CLA) was formed in 1979 in response to the need to organize community leadership programs across North America. CLA’s mission is to enhance the capacity of local, state, regional, national and international community leadership programs to strengthen and serve their communities.

Greater Tucson Leadership’s mission is to inspire, develop and promote leadership in our community. GTL is a non-profit, non-partisan association best known for its annual Adult Leadership Class, its sponsorship of the State of the City, State and County Addresses and for its organization of many issue-based events that educate the community on important local issues.
